The Moscow Mule. Bet you didn't know it was actually invented in America. The year was 1941 and the place was the Cock n' Bull pub on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood, CA. Sophie Berezinski, John Martin of Smirnoff Vodka, and Jack Morgan, owner of the Cock n' Bull pub all came together on August 27th 1941 and the Moscow Mule was born.
The Mule became America's most popular drink over the last few years. We believe it was due to a few factors but most importantly the copper mug. People realized how amazing an ice cold mule served in it's proper vessel tasted. JJ Resnick, great grandson of Sophie Berezinski relaunched the Moscow Copper Co. last year just in time for the 75th Anniversary of his favorite cocktail and to make Grandma Sophie proud.
